The rules behind every route

  1. Start and finish near Sarajevo airport, which has the most international flights.
  2. Put the long drive in the middle of the trip, never on the arrival or departure day.
  3. Stay at least two nights in each base whenever possible.
  4. Match the season: waterfalls and swimming from June to September, snow from about mid-December to March.

Questions travellers ask

How does the planner choose the route?

It starts and ends in Sarajevo (the main airport), keeps the drive to Mostar and Herzegovina in the middle of the trip and adds Jajce or Una National Park only when there are enough days. In winter months it adds snow days instead of waterfalls.

Can I change the suggested route?

Yes. Send it to us and write what you would change — we use it as the starting point for your quote.
