Bosnia family holiday in 9 days
Quick answer
Nine days at a child's pace: four nights in Sarajevo with the springs at Vrelo Bosne and a mountain day, then three nights in Mostar for Kravica waterfall and Blagaj. No travel day is longer than about two and a half hours, and the last night is back near the airport.
Built around children, not around a checklist
Families tell us the same things: children get tired of long drives, hotels change too often, and lunch arrives too late. This package keeps you in Sarajevo for four nights and in Mostar for three, so you unpack twice. Every day has one main activity and a free afternoon.
The places are chosen for open space and water: the springs at Vrelo Bosne, mountain meadows, the falls of Kravica, the river at Blagaj. Museums and old towns fit into short walks rather than full days.
Travelling with a baby?
Ask for a cot, a kettle in the room or an apartment with a kitchen. We note these in your quote so you can check them before you confirm. More ideas in our family holidays guide.

Questions travellers ask
Do you provide child seats?
Tell us the age and weight of each child in your request. Child seats are listed in your quote so you can see exactly what is arranged before you confirm.
Is this trip suitable for toddlers?
Yes. The longest drive is about two and a half hours with stops, and you stay in the same place for three or four nights at a time. We can make mornings slower still.
Can we stay in an apartment or villa instead of hotels?
Yes — many families prefer it. See accommodation planning for the options.
When is the best time for a family holiday in Bosnia?
June and September are warm with fewer crowds. July and August suit swimming at Kravica but are the busiest. Our best time to visit guide goes month by month.
